At Living Way Community Church, we care just as much about those outside of our church as we do for those already inside. We support missions locally and worldwide. We support financially, as well as through volunteer efforts. Below is a small snapshot of the organizations that we support:
Annie Armstrong - north american mission board (nAMB)
We collect for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering annually, starting around February and ending at Easter. 100% of the money raised goes to support more than 2,400 missionary families serving across the United States and Canada. Gifts are used to train missionaries, plant churches, and create evangelism resources to better share the gospel.
our daily bread ministries: greer soup kitchen - Greer, South Carolina
We began supporting the Greer Soup Kitchen, part of Our Daily Bread Ministries, in Spring of 2024. Each day since 1990, they have served meals to those in need. They are completely reliant on donations, and we collect food items to help meet their revolving list of needs. These changes are listed in our bulletin each week and can also be found on their website at https://www.greersoupkitchen.com/our-mission.
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering - International Mission Board (IMB)
Just like the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, we collect for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering annually, starting around August and ending at Christmas. This movement was started by a missionary named Lottie Moon, who recognized the need of a greater missionary presence around the world to combat it’s greatest problem - lostness. Her entreaties for more support, both through prayer and financial, became the offering that we know today.
